Hypertension is a chronic disease with a high mortality rate. However, patient adherence to treatment is still low. The high incidence of hypertension is linked to increased mortality rates. Hypertension can lead to various complications, especially when compounded by a lack of knowledge regarding effective hypertension management. This study aims to assess the level of knowledge about hypertension management. This is a quantitative descriptive study, involving all teachers at State Senior High School in Paccerakang Village who have hypertension, with a total population of 50 people. Using a total sampling technique, 50 samples were selected. Data collection was conducted via a questionnaire and analyzed using univariate analysis. Knowledge levels were classified as good, moderate, and poor. The study results indicated that 52.5% of respondents had a poor knowledge level regarding hypertension management. This lack of knowledge was evidenced by respondents’ inaccurate answers on proper hypertension management. Based on these findings, over half of the respondents displayed limited understanding. Therefore, it is recommended to collaborate with the local Community Health Center to provide targeted health education on hypertension management for teachers at State Senior High School in Paccerakang Village.
